Organization Description:

Queen City Bicycle Collective (QC Bike) is a non-profit based in Manchester, NH, dedicated to promoting safe and affordable bicycling within our community. Our goal is to empower Manchester residents to rely on bicycles for transportation and recreation.  Our core programs include Open Shop – when the public is welcomed into our workshop  to buy, donate, or repair their bicycles using our tools, parts, and technical expertise; and our Vouchered Bikes programs – the largest and longest running of which is our Be Active/Earn-A-Bike program, which provides 4th grade students at two Manchester schools with a bike package or alternative, Be Active packages, given as awards for completing leadership curriculum in school. Since 2021, we have continued expanding our offerings to include greater community outreach, beyond our core programs, through community-building events. These activities seek to bring greater awareness to bicycling in our community, and strengthen the sense of camaraderie among Manchester’s cyclists.
