Volunteer Opportunities

NEW! Volunteer shop hours
Closed Shop is time when the shop is closed to the public, but open to volunteers and QC staff to work on projects that benefit the operations of QC Bike:
– Stripping bikes,
– Cleaning bikes,
– Building bikes,
– Sorting and cleaning parts
This also presents an opportunity for volunteers to improve their capabilities as mechanics!
These times are set aside to develop, train, and utilize volunteer talent in the furtherance of the collective’s shop operations. During these periods, the shop is closed to the public for the collective to focus on production and volunteer training.

NEW! Adopt-a-FixIt Station
Now that six FixIt Stations have been installed around the city, we are looking for volunteers to perform simple check ins twice per month. Adopters will choose one station and complete a very short form to let us know that the stations are in working order. To adopt a station, please fill out this short form.

With help from the community…
YOU helped us raise over $9,000!

On NH Gives Day, you helped our capacity grow as we rise to meet the increased needs of our community. Every generous donation, shared post, and fundraising page helps us keep Manchester rolling. Your support truly means the world to us and those who rely on QC Bike. Because of you, we raised over $9,000 towards our mission of getting people on bikes safely and affordably in Manchester!!
If you missed NH Gives Day, you can still donate online through our website, www.qcbike.org!
80+ bikes donated in June

Wow, our community is AWESOME! Since we were featured on the New Hampshire Chronicle last month (watch it here!), our mechanics have had their hands full working on all of the bikes you’ve donated. Donated bikes are thoroughly checked over by staff and volunteer mechanics to ensure a reliable ride for their next owner.
We can always find homes for bikes. To donate bikes or parts stop by during Open Shop (appointments no longer necessary).
Open Shop Hours:
Tuesday: 4-8pm
Thursday: 4-8pm
Saturday: 4-8pm

In case you missed it

QC Bike has PRIDE!
QC Bike is YOUR community bike shop and we strive to create an environment that is welcoming and safe for everybody. It’s a place where you can be YOU.We celebrated Pride Month (June) by participating in the Queen City Pride Festival on the 19th and hosting two Pride themed community rides. These events were a great opportunity to meet some incredible people. Our staff and volunteers were grateful for the chance to learn more about the LGBTQ+ community and how to grow as allies and supporters. |
